Abstract

DBT is an empirically supported treatment for clients with suicidal behavior. Understanding clinician adherence to DBT within community mental health settings has been challenging because of the laborious nature of implementing such measures within nonacademic settings. Although the DBT Adherence Coding Scale is a comprehensive, psychometrically valid measure of how closely clinician sessions resemble DBT, only recently has a more efficient tool been adapted that allows for adherence to be implemented within the community.
