Abstract
Neonatal injection of allogeneic fetal liver cells (FLC) or semi-allogeneic bone marrow/spleen cells (F1BMSC) induces permanent acceptance of donor-type and third-party cardiac allografts. However persistent microchimerism could only be demonstrated after F1BMSC treatment, which also induces donor-type only skin graft survival, whereas FLC do not. This study examined the effect of recipient MHC expression on differential development of chimerism after neonatal tolerance induction.
