Abstract

This paper proposes two design methods of the semi active control device with variable damping to control the vibration of flexible structures arranged in parallel. Two flexible structures are connected with the variable damping device. In this paper, LQ control theory and Genetic Algorithm (GA) are used to decide the control force. Concretely it shows the optimized weight coefficient R for LQ control theory on semi active control and optimized feedback gain including the instability field using GA. It compare these methods by frequency response.
