Abstract

In this paper, as a new conceptual methods in fluid film lubrication with multi analytic regions, such as film formulation region and oil film rupture region, a new method is proposed by solving simultaneous method for both oil-film & rupture region and boundary & connecting conditions. The results agree well with FEM with curved elements and FDM using approximations by one or two straight lines for boundary profiles under starved and flooded lubrication. For Reynolds boundary conditions in finite width fluid fluid film lubrication theory, results by this paper agree with elimination minus pressure during iteration of Reynolds equation.
