Abstract

The high‐end OLED display has multiple gamma Look‐Up Tables(LUT) to minimize any noticeable luminance changes occuring in driving mode transition. We analyze redundancy of LUTs and propose visually lossless LUT compression based on Principal Component Analysis (PCA). It reduces costly One‐Time‐Programmable(OTP) memory size, typically used for LUT storage in Driver IC, by more than 50% with less than 0.1 Mean Square Error(MSE) for 10 bit LUTs.
