Abstract
The goals of this session are to characterize the functioning of active duty families with young children in the predeployment phase of the deployment cycle and to present initial findings from an ongoing randomized, controlled trial examining the efficacy of Strong Families Strong Forces, a reflective parenting program designed to reduce parenting stress and adverse child outcomes among military families experiencing deployment separation.
