Abstract

The 31st annual meeting of the Pacific Northwest Branch of AGU (PNAGU) was held September 7 and 8 at Oregon State University (OSU), Corvallis. Collisional plate tectonics again dominated the subjects of the 40 papers presented. The evolution and geometry of the Cascade volcanic arc and the effects of volatile recycling during subduction were interpreted in quantitative convergence models. Structural lineaments were recognized that may mark the pre‐Tertiary margin of North America.
