Abstract
A new method for the identification of α-amino acids has been developed. The protocol is based on the derivatization of the amino acids using a chiral diphosphine palladium complex (R,R)-1. The analysis of the resulting 31P NMR data by pattern-recognition techniques allowed for the enantiodiscrimination of the analytes.
