Abstract

Mileage per charge is the critical issue for electric vehicle. In order to solve this problem, we have proposed the range extension control system(RECS). Although it is effective for mileage per charge, there is the potential which makes the vehicle stability decreases, because driving force difference between left and right motor is generated. In this paper, we propose advanced safety range extension control system (ASRECS). This proposed method improves not only mileage per charge but also vehicle stability on the curving road. The effectiveness of proposed method is verified by experimental results.
