Abstract
Recently, many engineers of advanced computer-aided design and engineering applications users intend to make interactive, immersive visualization an integral part of their product offerings. Adding virtual reality capability helps reduce design-cycle time and cut costs. Immersive visualization adds new dimensions to the digital mock-up experience, increasing realism to improve early evaluation capabilities already made available in a design process. It provides an even more powerful collaborative design review environment for advanced synthesis and product styling. This paper discusses a design review system in immersive virtual environment with tangible interface. In our system, the use of full-scale visualization and digital mock-up has been proved to greatly reduce the potential for error and also accelerate the product development process.
