Abstract

Application of Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) to micro-CFD is discussed. Incompressible 2-D and 3-D micro-chanenel flows are solved by LBM. The results are compared with those of the conventional Navier-Stokes equations. It is found that comparable results are obtained with less computer time in LBM. LBM is found to be an alternative tool to conventional continuum approach in CFD, especially for micro flow problems.
