Abstract

Aim of the study: Do babies concepted by using a low-cost simplified IVF culture system (SCS) compared with babies concepted with ICSI differ? Design: This analysis is part of a non-inferiority prospective study comparing ICSI and a simplified culture system (SCS) for gamete fertilization and subsequent embryo culture. We compared the perinatal outcome results of all babies born from January 2013 until December 2020 after using split SCS and ICSI insemination in a selected group of normoresponder women, excluding severe male infertility cases defined by an inseminating motile sperm count (IMC) of less than million after semen processing.
