Abstract

Faced with dwindling water supplies, the government of the Australian state of Queensland needed only 30 months to design and construct an extensive system for treating and distributing recycled wastewater. Comprising three highly advanced treatment facilities and more than 200 km of pipeline, the ambitious project will help ensure that Queensland has adequate water resources for the foreseeable future.
