Abstract
The chapter focuses on an adhoc topic entitled “Particle Packing” as the feature of nanoconcrete and cement based material is greatly affected by the type and degree of packing of its mixing constituent as well as the wall effect, the wedging effect, the loosening effect, the particle interaction, the particle packing density, the size distribution, the volume fraction, the shape of particle, the meso-structure of cement based material, the defects of particle packing, and the models of particle packing. Reading the chapter renders the understanding of particle packing ability for readers. The material and method of the chapter is the-top cited articles regarding on particle packing published in the top-cited scientific and appreciated intercontinental journals. Results show that the particle packing density is favorable for nanoconcretes and cement based materials by means of mathematical models, theory, and technology.
