Abstract
In a letter in this journal, de Koning and colleagues reported six cases of 3-methylglutaconic (3-MGA) aciduria from 25 mothers of microcephalic infants with severe psychomotor retardation for which no cause could be identified.1 To this we add that 3-methylglutaconic acid may be a normal finding in urine during pregnancy.
