Abstract

Influence of cultural patterns prevalent in a select part of India on various aspects of paranoid schizophrenia has been studied by BHASKARAN. The aspects considered are marital stress, age of onset, type of delusions, precipitating factors, genetic-psychodynamic factors, and prepsychotic personality. Cultural concepts of illness in village India are presented by Morris E. OPLER.
