Abstract
This chapter presents an analysis on the employment situation in 2009, and impact and challenge of financial crisis to employment in China. To deal with the serious impact of financial crisis brought to employment, the State Council and the Department concerned formulated and implemented a series of special operational policy measures to stabilize employment and expand the job market, which included a comprehensive document of policy measures released by the State Council, three documents released by the General Office of the State Council on peasant workers' jobs, graduate's employment and propelling employment. After the employment policy was implemented, various regions have created different patterns and experiences, and corresponding service facilities, training methods and grade of services have improved; workers have obtained actual benefits, and the employment situation improved.
