Abstract

Lupus erythematosus panniculitis (LEP) is a rare variant of chronic cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CCLE) that commonly affects the face, upper arms, thighs, and buttocks, and is distinguished by its potential to cause irreversible scarring, lipoatrophy, and disfigurement. disease activity and prevent significant cosmetic sequelae. Even in patients with a known diagnosis of LEP, monitoring for ongoing disease activity can be challenging as overlying erythema and evolving subcutaneous nodularity and/or atrophy can be subtle. Herein, we report the first case of a patient with facial LEP monitored longitudinally with 3D stereophotogrammetry.
