Abstract

Expedited partner therapy (EPT) is as effective as other methods of partner treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). However, EPT utilization by providers is poor and varies depending on state laws. There are limited data describing provider practices and comfort with EPT for adolescents. We examined the knowledge, practices, and comfort of EPT among California pediatric residents, by post-graduate year (PGY) of training and presence of an Adolescent Medicine fellowship program.
