Abstract
“Recommended summary plan for emergency care and treatment” (ReSPECT) has been designed to promote pre-emptive discussions and create recommendations for future clinical care in medical emergencies where a patient is unable to express their choices. This helps to ensure that, in emergency treatment, health care practitioners are able to offer best care in accordance with patient wishes.
