Abstract

3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane functionalized graphite oxide/waterborne polyurethane composite (GO-KH550/WPU) was successfully prepared with an obvious reinforcement in physi-chemical properties, and the structural features and thermal conductivity of composite with various modified GO loading was investigated as well. As a result, thermal conductivity of composite was increased as the modified GO loading above a critical value of 0.2 wt%, which induced a forming of heat network in matrix. More specifically, tensile strength and elongation at break showed a significant enhancement of 272% (~19.32 MPa) and 14% (~932%) with loading of 0.2 wt% modified GO in composite respectively, furthermore thermal stability was enhanced as well. Also, the structural disorder degree of composite was increased as DSC, FTIR, AFM, DMA and XRD testified.
