Abstract

Educational toys serve as effective tools for children's enlightenment education. In this paper, a novel research model called ANO-AHP is employed to analyze the design elements of educational toys. Firstly, the KANO model was utilized to analyze 18 needs of toys in order to obtain the attribute classification of the needs. Secondly, the AHP method was used to calculate the weight values of 13 demand elements in three types of demand attributes: basic must-be quality attributes (M), one-dimensional quality attributes (O) and attractiveness quality attributes (A), and the results was sorted for determine their priorities. Finally, design directions and suggestions were proposed in five aspects, such as educational function, material safety, and multiplayer game. The rank of important demand indicators precisely indicated user’s need and key point of toy design which make the design process scientific and comprehensive.
