Abstract

ADHD is one of the most frequent mental health disorders in children that affect academic outcomes. This is often due to executive function (EF) deficits and comorbid disorders such as specific learning disorders (SLD) and anxieties. Very little is known about what influences mathematical performance in school. The first objective of this study is to identify which EF deficits contribute to developing SLD in mathematics. The second objective of this study is to investigate the impact of SLD in mathematics on the development of comorbid disorders such as anxieties, ODD, and conduct disorder (CD).
