Abstract

Pediatric irritability is a multifaceted construct. Differentiating its dimensions of phasic irritability (temper outbursts) and tonic irritability (irritable mood) may help advance mechanistic understanding (Leibenluft, 2017; Vidal-Ribas et al, 2016). Here, we present 3 transdiagnostic studies on phasic and tonic irritability, focusing on dissociability of the 2 dimensions.
