Abstract

A new coumarin-derivative has been isolated from the roots ofRuta graveolens. It could be identified by UV-, IR-, NMR- and mass-spectrometry as 3-(1′,1′-dimethylallyl)-6-(3′,3′-dimethylallyl)-umbelliferone, which was called gravelliferone. It represents a new type of 3-substituted coumarins.
