Abstract

The study prospectively examined the associations between maternal prenatal symptoms (depression, PTSD, and personality disorders), maternal reflective functioning, and offspring early self-regulation abilities. We hypothesized that reflective functioning would be: 1) associated with maternal psychological symptoms; and 2) the sole predictor of offspring self-regulation.
