Abstract

ADHD is a neuropsychiatric disorder that begins in childhood and is characterized by symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that are incompatible with the age of the person. When taking into consideration the differences in the causes and behavioral consequences of ADHD, there is no single test used to diagnose the disorder, and the clinician’s opinion is currently the most widely accepted diagnostic method. On the other hand, decision support systems currently greatly facilitate the diagnosis process of the clinician and play an active role in the decision process.
