Abstract

There is limited research on the group therapy approach to addressing mental health concerns within the transgender and gender-nonconforming (TGGNC) adolescent population. Here, we propose a new group curriculum to increase coping with issues related to gender identity, and aim to investigate the ability of supportive group therapy for TGGNC adolescents to reduce symptomatology associated with depression and anxiety and to increase resilience for gender-minority stress.
