Abstract

We designed the Irritability and Dysregulation of Emotion Scale (TIDES-13) to capture potential expressions of irritability in children and youth such as proneness to anger, reactive aggression, frustration intolerance, and negative emotional reactivity (ER). Using TIDES-13, we examined whether irritability consisted of several subdimensions that were differentially associated with internalizing/externalizing psychopathology, age, and gender.
