ICeSSAT 2020 is organized by the Center for Satellite Communication (UiTMSAT), Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Kampus Pasir Gudang in conjunction with the deployment of our first CubeSat, UiTMSAT-1. This conference is co-organized by several local universities and government agencies such as UKM, UNISZA, UMT, MYSA, and MiSI. The objectives of ICeSSAT 2020 are to disseminate knowledge and to share experience and expertise in space science and satellite technology in all aspects of applications. Moreover, ICeSSAT was held online to ensure authors and speakers can be away from COVID-19 and keep safe. The conference was held virtually for 2 days on 4th to 5th May 2020.With the theme of Sustainable Exploration towards The New Space Revolution of Nanosatellite & Space Science. It also aims to build networks between locals and international professionals in this field with related industries. It is high time for this such an event to happen in order to highlight the remarkable contributions of the space weather and satellite applications which are related closely to many aspects of our lives. Studying space weather is important for our economy because solar storms can affect the advanced technology that we have become so dependent on in our everyday lives. Space weather is monitored at ground level by observing changes in the Earth’s magnetic field over periods of seconds to days, by observing the surface of the Sun and by observing radio noise created in the Sun’s atmosphere. Hopefully, by sharing the knowledge on space weather and satellite with other researchers it will benefit the society since humanity relies on advanced telecommunication systems and other technologies involved. The 2nd International Conference on Space Weather and Satellite Application (ICeSSAT 2020) which is supposed to be held on 4th April 2020 sadly to be postponed to July 7th,2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Thus, for the sake of safety reasons, the conference will be held virtually. We sincerely hope that everyone will enjoy your days with exciting virtual mode presentations and establish networking. Without a doubt, this conference is an excellent platform for knowledge sharing between researchers, scientists, academicians, and engineers working in the areas of Space Weather and Satellite Application.
