2nd International Conference on Machine Vision and Information Technology (CMVIT 2018)

Abstract

PrefaceInternational Conference on Machine Vision and Information Technology (CMVIT) is an annual conference, which offers a place for participants to present and to discuss their innovative recent and ongoing research and theoretical work and/or their applications. The first CMVIT was held in Singapore in 2017. This year is the second CMVIT annual conference, which was held in Hong Kong, China, during 23-25 February 2018. CMVIT 2018 is organized by Asia Pacific Institute of Science and Engineering, sponsored by HKSME. The conference provides a useful and wide platform for researchers and engineers to present their latest research findings and exchange their ideas in a broad range of Machine Vision and Information Technology topics. The participants of the conference were from different regions of the world, with background of either academia or industry.There were 126 submissions including 102 papers and 24 abstracts. After rigorous peer review, 43 papers and nine abstracts were accepted. This proceeding covers a wide range of topics in machine vision and images, pattern recognition and basic technologies, and information technology and interaction, including object image classification, tracking, object detection, and deep convolutional networks.
