Abstract

Ni-bpy MOF and g-CN@Ni-bpy MOF composite were fabricated by a one-pot solvothermal technique. The morphological and elemental composition was put forward by the study of PXRD, FT-IR, XPS, FE-SEM, EDS, HRTEM and UV-DRS. The as-synthesized nano-composite was effectively utilized as catalyst for Z-scheme degradation of Malachite green dye under natural sunlight. The g-CN@Ni-bpy MOF nano-catalyst caused degradation of 97.7 % of the dye within 45 min without the aid of any further additives. Furthermore, the mechanism of Z- scheme degradation over g-CN@Ni-bpy MOF was also investigated. From all this, it can be concluded that g-CN@Ni-bpy MOF is a potential catalyst for wastewater remediation.
