Abstract

In this paper, a two-dimensional direction-of-arrival (2-D DOA) estimation of quasi-stationary signals using an L-shape array is presented. In many practical scenarios, like speech and audio processing applications the signals are non-stationary but they can be modeled as being stationary within local time frames. A subspace approach based on Khatri-Rao (KR) product, so called KR subspace approach, is developed in this for estimating azimuth and elevation angles using an L-shape array. KR subspace approach can work even when number of sensors is less than number of sources. Computer simulations are carried out to demonstrate the performance of the KR subspace approach for 2-D DOA estimation.
