Abstract
We have been working on a project on "Development of the drive dozing prevention technique using the sensor installed in the seat for detecting the driver's condition" for about five years. As a non-invasive sensor equipped with a drivers' seat for passenger cars, we developed so called "air pack sensor" which is expected to an alternative of finger plethysmogram. In this paper, mathematical modeling for air pack sensor is explained in detail. In addition, the method for extracting the heart rate signal from the signal obtained by the air pack sensor is shown and the results are compared with the waveform obtained by finger plethysmogram.
