Abstract
"Machinaka RoboCon" is the event to make a local shopping district active by Oita National College of Technology (ONCT) and Oita University. This event introduces robots made in the Robot Research Club in ONCT. The students who belonged to the Robot Research Club remodeled one of the robots which participated in NHK Robot Contest to be able to walk on the road of the stone pavement. On the event day, people enjoyed the operation and the test ride of the robot. After the event, we questionnaired to the students. The results show that the participation students come to have a good image for the event. The evaluations of the outside people give a motivation and joy to the students. We consider that this event is an excellent trial to actualize the will improvement of the students, the advertisement of ONCT, and the revitalization of the shopping district.
