Abstract

Recently, in the field of micro chemical process, the research on slug flow chemical process is paid to attention. The slug flow is a flow that tow liquids appear alternately in the striped pattern on a flow line, and it is effective to realize efficient chemical reaction. The goal of this research is realization slug flow whose length can be arbitrarily adjusted without depending on the characteristic and flowing quantity of the fluid using three port electro magnetic microvalve. A new separation process for slug flow to original two liquids is realized. The factorability of 95.3% and 97.3% is shown respectively by the experiment of water/oil separation since the structure of the valve developed last year was optimized, and the improvement of the separation accuracy was confirmed. The copper ion extraction experiment was conducted, and effectiveness in actual chemical process was shown.
