Abstract
This study aims to develop an assistance system that automatically adjusts the mechanical components of a bicycle against the physical properties of a cyclist. This paper firstly renewed the experimental environment, in which height, place, and angle of a saddle of a cycle road racer can be automatically controlled during pedaling exercise. In this paper, especially, the effects of changing both saddle height and place was investigated by the basis of statistically analyzing activity balance of lower limb muscles, and the conditions of the optimized setting of a saddle was discussed through the experimental results.
