Abstract

Previous studies showed a high prevalence of Helicobacter pylori infection in patients undergoing LRYGB leading to recommendations for routine preoperative screening. Our objective was to evaluate the prevalence of H.pylori infection in patients undergoing LRYGB and its role in predicting the risk of developing anastomotic ulcer or pouch gastritis.
