Abstract

Background: Subgroup analysis is commonly used in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to address how outcomes vary among heterogeneous patients. Several factors in RCTs from general medical journals have been associated with subgroup analyses. Studies on dermatologic literature have reviewed RCT reporting, though none have examined characteristics of studies that carried out subgroup analyses.
