Abstract
Background: Sensitive skin frequently associates dysfunctions of the cutaneous nervous system with dryness. We tested the efficacy of a complex made with glycerol, a natural sugar complex and an extract of Globularia alypum in an in vitro study using cocultures of sensory neurons and keratinocytes and in an ex vivo study of stratum corneum sheets using Raman spectroscopy.
