Abstract
Background: According to the National Residency Matching Program’s Charting the Outcome of the Match (NRMP ChOM), the mean number of research items per allopathic applicant matched into dermatology residency has tripled from 5.7 in 2007 to 19.0 in 2020. We aimed to determine the percentage of applicant reported research items attributed to peer-reviewed publications (PRPs) and the characteristics of applicant PRPs.
