Abstract

Introduction: Melasma is a pigmentary disorder, more common in women, specially, with Fitzpatrick skin types IV to VI who live in areas of high ultraviolet radiation. Due to role of oxidative stress in patients with melasma, the inclusion of antioxidant as adjuvant therapy in the treatment of melasma has been increasing. Therefore, it was evaluated the effect of a topical antioxidant serum containing vitamin C, ferulic acid, and phloretin after Q-Switched laser for treatment of melasma.
