Abstract

Introduction: Acne is a chronic inflammatory disease of the pilosebaceous unit that affects mainly adolescents. The therapeutic guidelines include cleansers as adjunctive therapy. This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of deep cleansing gel containing 2% salicylic acid, 0.2% zinc gluconate and 0.05% Lipohydroxyacid (LHA) as monotherapy to treat mild to moderate facial acne vulgaris.
