Abstract

A quasi periodic pixel structure is proposed to suppress the blurring of the transparent microLED display. By allocating the transparent areas of the subpixels, the diffraction angles and intensity of each order are reduced so that the improved see through image with less blur can be observed. By using 2D FFT simulation method, the maximum diffraction intensity of the transmitted light can be decreased by 70% by choosing proper pixel geometrical parameters. Such pixel design is simple with high feasibility and transparent microLED display with such design can be applied to a variety of occasions including head‐up display for vehicles where a clear see through image with blur suppression is crucial.
