Abstract

Introduction: Atopic dermatitis is a chronic, inflammatory skin disease which can often persist throughout a patient’s lifetime. As such, it can result in a persistent state of systemic inflammation, is associated with immune dysregulation, and patients are often exposed to potentially immunosuppressive and mutagenic medications all of which can increase the risk for malignancy.
