Abstract

Background Context: Vertebral metastasis affects a large volume of cancer patients. Currently, a variety of palliative treatments are available for tumor ablation, but such treatments alone may be associated with an increased risk of vertebral collapse. Percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP) and vertebroplasty are solutions for restoring vertebral stability. However, a standardized multidisciplinary approach combining tumor treatment with vertebral stabilization has not yet been defined.
