Abstract

Innovations take time to diffuse through practice communities. The past 2 decades have included large volumes of research about evidence-based assessment (EBA), cognitive debiasing, and bipolar disorder. There are now fast, free methods with research validation that could help evaluate cases and improve detection of bipolar disorder while simultaneously protecting against overdiagnosis in cases with similar presentations because of more common etiologies. These EBA and debiasing techniques do not achieve their potential to help families without effective dissemination and implementation support. The goal of this Clinical Perspectives is to share these resources.
