Abstract
The objective of this Clinical Perspectives program is to 1) define integrated care; 2) explore models of integrated care; 3) present clinical examples of integrated care; 4) review the role of the family in the integrated care of children and adolescents; 5) describe the similarities and differences between integrated care, collaborative care, consultation-liaison relationships, and public health practice; and 6) discuss access issues, barriers, advantages, disadvantages, and possible unintended consequences of providing mental health care in primary care settings.
