Abstract
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C22H14O6·2H2O, contains one-half of a centrosymmetric 2,5-dibenzoylterephthalic acid molecule and one water molecule, held together by intramolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The dihedral angle between the central and outer rings is 108.8 (2)°. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the molecules to form a three-dimensional network.
