Abstract

Advanced Exercise Training: Utilizing Environmental Stress to Trigger Adaptation Sport specific exercise training can induce adaptations that improve performance. In addition to training, exposure to various environmental stressors such as altitude/hypoxia or heat can induce hematological, cardio-respiratory and thermoregulatory adaptations that, in turn, can further improve exercise performance. This symposium will include in-depth discussions of integrated mechanisms of adaptive response patterns across a range of physiological systems.
